Our group is taking part in the Digital Bridges project, because we all love the english language and we always wanted to go to sweden. This was our chance, so we decided to join the project. In addition, the Digital Bridges Project is a big project where you can participate in different subjects. As you can see, we decided us for chemistry, because we think it´s really interesting. We hope for a good cooperative work, new friendships and last but not least, lots of fun. Unfortunately we couldn`t connect our sweetish partners yet. So we hope for the future to finally connect the sweetish class and get to know what kind of lesson they have in chemistry. Maybe it is possible to work on a project together. That far we focused on the radical substitution and made a little but informative video clip. For this project we worked with pieces of paper and used a model of different kinds of elements. Moreover we tried to keep it simple and understandable for you students. Until now we really enjoy working on the project and look forward to get to know you guys.

I decided to be a part of the Digital-Bridges-Project because I am very interested in the subject area of chemistry, but I also want to meet (more or less on a digital way) people in my age with similar interests. Furthermore I want to improve my English skills.
One of my wishes for the project is to gain new and interesting experiences. I would like to learn something about the Swedish school system and about the way the students are learning. I hope to get to know the chemistry from another site 😀
Until now we only created two short videos about us and our school as well as about the halogenation of alkanes. I hope we will do something with more exchange between us and the Swedish the next time.

I chose to participate in the project because I am interested in the subject Chemistry and moreover would like to improve my English skills. Furthermore I think about choosing Chemistry as one of my two major subjects.
I hope from the project that I will meet a lot of interesting people and also to gain new experience. In addition I wish to get to know more about the subject Chemistry and how it will informed in Sweden. I want to learn how the school in Sweden is different from Germany.
Up to now we have already created a video that introduces our school as well as our group. We have also filmed a video about „ halogenation of Alkanes“.

Since Chemistry and English are my favourite subject in school I thought it would be a great idea to join the Digital Bridges-Project. But not only this but also the thought of sharing our work with students from Sweden and getting to learn new things and people througout the process made me interested in joining the project.
So here we are! The chemistry group started at the beginning of 2017 but we weren´t able to do much because of the lack of time that was stolen through other school projects or trips. But at the end, we managed to get to know each other through videos that we made and also sent a short explanation video of a chemical reaction.
That´s all we got for now but there will be more to follow soon and I also hope to hear from the swedish students, too.
